What was Hitlers “Final Solution”?
The result of Hitlers anti-semitism was his attempt to deal with what he called “the Jewish problem” in Europe.
What is Conscription Plebiscite ?
Prime Minister King used a plebiscite to allow Canadians to say whether or not they were in favor of releasing the government from it’s pledge not to introduce conscription.
What is The Holocaust ?
The Holocaust destroyed over one-third of the Jews in Europe: in total approximately six million Jews.

The bombing at Hiroshima and Nagasaki forced the Japanese to surrender; thus ending war.

The policy of total way meant that everyone in Canada was affected in some way by the war.

Price controls led to rationing, which affected every Canadian man, women, and child for the duration of the war.

The amounts of these products were purposely limited by the government.
What is the Ogdensburg Agreement ?
This agreement was evidence that Canada was beginning to develop closer ties with the United States.
What is Camp X?
The first wartime spy training camp in North America Central Intelligence Agency (the CIA)
What is the National Socialist Party(Nazis)?
The party was supported by the army, the unemployed, big business, landowners and aristocrats.
What is Anti-semitism ?
Led to hitlers policied of persecution of the Jews.
What is a Dictator ?
The way hitler ruled, and his expectation that all Germans pledges to absolute obedience to him.
What is Fascism?
The fascist movement of Italy & Germany was adopted by segments of Canadian Society prior to WW2. Fearing a groundswell of support for the movement in Canada, Prime Minister Kings government passes a law making it illegal for Canadians to join foreign army.
What is Nuremberg Laws ?
These laws lent legitimacy to the atrocities of the campaign against the Jews I’m Europe.
What is Kristallnacht?
The beginning of Hitlers unbridled campaign to ti did the human race of Jews.
What is the Battle Of Britain ?
The greatly outnumbered Royal Air Force shot down 3000 nazi planes over Britain I’m two months.
What is Dieppe Raid?
A major military disaster for the allies in which thousands of Canadians were killed,wounded or taken prisoners.
What are Convoys?
The Canadian navy played a key role in escorting the convoys and keeping open the supply lines to Britain.
What is D - day?

Many Japanese Canadians continue to petition the government to be compensated for the sale of their possessions during the war.
