Deviation from social norms
Behaviour that does not follow accepted social patterns or rules and this can be caused by abnormal behaviour.
What does deviation from social norms look at?
The impact of an individuals behaviour on other people. This behaviour is examined in terms of how desirable the behaviour is for the individual and for society as a whole.

As abnormal and undesirable

Itโs difficult to determine universal signs of psychological illness. For example in some African cultures it is socially acceptable to claim that God is communicating with the person, however, in western cultures this could be classed as schizophrenic

When a person is unable to cope with day to day life and this can impact their social, personal and occupational life. Behaviour can become maladaptive, irrational or dangerous.
