Difference between Australian Parliament and Government

A

Australian Parliament are the house of representatives and Senate which makes laws and scrutinize the work of the government and are formed by the elected representative.
Government is formed by political parties or coalition, holding the majority of the house of representatives, responsible for implementing and managing the laws.

What are the three levels of the Government?

A

Federal Government - Governs the entire country - defense and military, immigration, foreigner affairs, National laws and trade
State Government - Governs individual states or provinces within a country - Education, Transportation (within the state), Public safety (like police and state laws) and health services
Local Government - Governs cities, towns or counties - Garbage collection, local roads and public transport, water supply, local schools and libraries, Zoning and city planning
