What are the features of D. injai?
A
greasy seborrhea, especially of the face and topline; terriers (esp westies) and shi taus predisposed; hair loss mild and secondary bacterial infection uncommon; some dogs pruritic esp with facial involvement

What is distinct about D. cornei?
A
more superficial niche in dog’s skin than other demodex but disease indistinguishable from traditional versions of demodicosis
