How do you calculate the density of an irregular object

Answer 4

1. Place the object on a mass balance.
2. Take an overflow can and a graduated cylinder.
3. Fill up the overflow can until the water stops spilling out of the spout.
4. Tie the object to string and place the graduated cylinder under the spout.
5. Then wait until all the water is dripped out of the spout into the graduated cylinder.
6. Calculate what the volume is and then divide it by the mass to find the Density.
