A
if speeds your body up by causing more neurotransmitter substances to cross the synapse

how would a depressants effect the nervous system
A
it effects synaptic transmission by binding to the receptor. stopping neurotransmitters from binding to it and electrical impulses going from one neurone to another

A
it slows down the body by blocking transmission of nerve impulses across synapses and binding to the receiving receptor of the next neurone
