Descriptive Statistic For Caterhorical Data Flashcards

1
Q

Types of variables?

A

Categorical ( qualitative)
1. Nominal scale: no natural order of values ex race, blood groups
2. Ordinal scale : natural ordering ex ranking better/good / best

Quantitative (numerical)
1.discrete- whole number takes integer values ex: number of deaths
Continuous- takes on many values may be decimal ex: mass
