Emphasis
Definition - Directs attention to the most important element
How it’s achieved - use bold fonts, bright colors, or larger sizes/place the focal element prominently in the composition
Proportion
Principles-Relationship in size or scale between elements
How it’s achieved - use consistent proportions to create a visually pleasing and cohesive layout
Movement
Principles - Guides the viewer’s eye through the design
Achieved - use lines, shapes, or visual sequences to create flow
Rhythm
Principle - Repetition or elements to create an organized sense of movement
Achieved-regular rhythm, alternating rhythm, progressive rhythm
Unity
Principles- ensured all design elements work together cohesively
Achieved : maintain consistency with color palettes, typography, and spacing
Space
Principle- the area around and between elements in the composition
Achieved:
Positive space - the filled areas of the design
Negative space - empty areas that provide breathing room
Repetition Pattern
Principles - Reusing elements to create consistency and visual identity
Achieved - repeat patterns, colors, font, or motifs throughout the design
Variety
Principles - introduces differences to add interest and avoid monotony
Achieved - use diverse shapes, textures, or colors while keeping the overall design cohesive
Hierarchy
Principle - organizes elements to show their importance in the design
How it’s achieved - use size, color, font weight, and placement to emphasize key elements. Provide more space around importance items
