Fluoroquinolone, beta agonists, corticosteroids, diuretics

sepsis, pneumonia, UTI, pancreatitis, Cushing’s, hyperthyroidism

SQ, abdomen
How and when to take Metformin
Immediate release: twice daily
Extended release: once daily
Take with meals
Metformin drug effects
lower blood glucose, improves insulin sensitivity, decrease hepatic glucose production
note: only works in T2D
signs of hypoglycemia
sweating, tremors, nervousness, palpitations
signs of hyperglycemia
thirst, frequent urination, dry mouth, blurred vision
when to exercise with diabetes
after meals
note: exercise brings down blood sugar so use caution in the morning
