More available than kidney donors, No drugs, allows someone with kidney failure to stay alive

Time consuming(3-4 days) 3-4 hours a day, Expensive to run, Increase the chance of infection, Dialysis fluid has to be constantly replaced

A fluid which is low in salt and urea but has the same sugar and mineral concentration as the blood
