What is granuloma?

A

chronic nodular inflammation consisting of mononuclear or multinuclear inflammatory cells, granulocytes, macrophages, and fibroblasts.
classically seen in tuberculosis, but also in reaction to chronic bacterial, fungal and parasitic infection and to foreign material in tissues.
