1
Q

5 diadynamic wave forms

A
diaphase fixe
monophase fixe
courtes period
longues periods
syncopal rythm
2
Q

diaphase fixe characteristics

A
100 hz frequency
tickling sensation and muscle contraction occurs at high intensities
has analgesic effects
used initally to start treatments
used in sympathetic ganglia
3
Q

monophase fixe characteris

A

frequency of 50 hz
used in connective tissue stimulation and in painful conditions
strong vibe is felt during application

4
Q

cortes fixe characteristics

A

no break rest

used in trophic and painful conditions that are not associated with spasms after trauma

5
Q

long periods characte

A

formed by the alternating application of diaphasic and monophasic fixe
has long lasting analgesic effects
used in nueralgia and myalgia
includes 10 sec of df followed by 5 secs of mf

6
Q

ryhtm syncopal

A

has a contraction effect on the muscle and nerves
Same with monophosic but transition time is different
Has rest

7
Q

asides DF the duration should last for

A

2-5 minutes and shouldnt exceed 10-12 minutes

8
Q

CIRCULATORY DISORDERS ANd the didynamic used

A
raynauds disease
buerger
arterosclerosis obliterans
heir
use df and ccp to fix
9
Q

circulation disorders

A

raynauds phenomenon
varicose pain
buergers disease

10
Q

indications for didanamic

A

radiculopathy .. pinching of nerve root in the spinal column .. includes pain weakness and tingling with numbness
neuralgia
sudecks atrophy.. chronic pain that affects distal regions

11
Q

low frequency currents whose frequncies are modulated is

A

didanamic current

12
Q

the cp ,lp and rs wave forms are derived from what

A

combination of df and mf wave forms

13
Q

in pathological situations the type of didanamic current should be selected accorfing to what

A

thier effcts

14
Q

effects of diadynamic

A

physiological and therapuetic

15
Q

physiological effect

A

has more hyperemia and pain relief

main effect for treatment is the painful condition associated with musculoskeletal system

16
Q

therapuetic effects

A

•It has a strong inhibitory or analgesic effect on
sensory nerves. it causes depolarization of the
sensory or motor nerve fibers depending on the
current intensity.
•While a strong inhibitory or analgesic effect is
created through the sensory nerves, excitatory
effects occur in the skeletal muscles that are
electrically stimulated through the motor nerves.
•The real therapeutic effect is the modulation of
pain as a result of a combination of inhibitory
and excitatory effects.

17
Q

current intensity in all current types should be set at a value between

A

perception and pain threshold

18
Q

dosage

A

duration…nor more than 12 min each type for 3 min
frequency … daily or every other day for 12 sessions
df 2min mf 1 min cp or lp till the end or 8 min

19
Q

didanamic it can be applied on nerves

A
