What happens in the induction stroke?
A
The inlet valve opens allowing air to pass through. the exhaust valve is closed. The piston then moves from top dead centre (TDC) to bottom dead centre (BDC) the increase in volume causes a vacuum drawing air into the cylinder. The inlet valve closes just after bottom dead centre (BDC)
