What are the five important nutrients?
Carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and mineral ions.
What are carbohydrates used for?
Carbohydrates release energy.
What are fats used for?
Fats help keep warm and release energy.
What are proteins used for?
Proteins are used for growth , cell repair and cell replacement.
What are mineral ions and vitamins used for?
They are used for keeping your skin, bones, blood and everything else generally healthy.
What is fibre used for?
You need enough fibre to keep everything moving smoothly through your digestive system.
