Amino acids.

What is fat broken down into
Fatty acids and two glycerol.
Where is protease produced and where does it work
It is produced in the stomach, pancreas and small intestine. It works in the stomach and small intestine.
Where does lipase break down fat and where is it produced.
Lipase is produced in the pancreas and small intestine. It breaks down fat in the small intestine.
Where is carbohydrate produced and where does it work.
Carbohydrate is produced in the saliva glands and pancreas. It works in the mouth and small intestine.
What is metabolism?
Metabolism is the sum of all the chemical reactions in the cell or the body.
Definition of enzymes.
Enzymes are proteins that speed up the rate of a chemical reaction. E.g. Digestion, respiration and photosynthesis. Each enzyme is specific, this means it can only fit one substrate.
What is the function of fat in the body.
Fat insulates the body and stores energy that can be used in bursts.
What is the function of protein.
Protein repairs damaged tissues and helps you to grow. It also does work in lots of the organs.
