Action
A
blocks histamine release, thereby reducing bronchoconstriction, vasodilation & edema. It suppresses central cholinergic activity & prolongs the action of dopamine by inhibiting its reuptake & storage.

Adult & PEDI Dose
A
25 to 50mg IV/IM/PO
12.5 to 25mg IV/IM/PO (6 to 12YO)
2 to 5mg/kg IV/IM, don’t exceed 25mg (under 6YO)
