In my annual performance review, my boss wrote that I’m too often late. Can she do that? Why or why not?
Your boss cannot. There is a separate disciplinary process supervisors are supposed to follow. Performance reviews exist to help employees succeed, not set up future discipline. You can challenge this and get it removed from your performance review.
A non-disciplinary meeting that could result in discipline down the road.
Investigatory interview (AKA “fact finding” meeting)
A union member’s right to have a steward or union agent represent them during a disciplinary or investigatory interview.
