Constipation

A

Pain + tenderness in LIF/lower left abdomen
Fever
Diarrhoea
Nausea and vomiting
Rectal bleeding
Palpable abdominal mass (if an abscess has formed)
Raised CRP and WCC

How is uncomplicated diverticulitis managed?

A

PO co-amox 5 days
Analgesia
Clear liquids until sx improve
Follow up in 2 days to re review
