DM TYPES?

A

T1 DM 5-10% insulin def. due to immun destruction beta cells before 30 suddenly

T2 DM 90-95% insulin ineffectiveness or sec def. after 30, symptoms gradually, majority obese

Gestational DM 2-5% of pregnants, third trimester of pregnancy, HPL, increase DM risk in 30-60% of women in 5-10 year child— Cong Heart, CNS, Skeletalmuscle abnorm.
