What will the lighting be like

A

Dim flood lights Predominantly blue wash to suggest darkness mystery and wrong doing . Subtle green light to show evil and the location - forest . On a traverse stage the light must come from different directions so the actors are always in the light .gobos will be used to create a dappled lighting affect like the leaves of a forest . Dim fresnelspot light on Phil to show he has taken control . Gobos used from 8 profile spotlight with green gels to create dappled leaf affect . Snap blackout

A

Scene begins with soft hooting of an owl to establish night time , predatory noise symbols threatening behaviour of the group . Richard Cathy Brian entry crunching leaves to show their difficult journey

How will set be used

A

Praecimium arch fly down branches to show the groups well hidden making it easier to hide the time . Two large trees on trucks and stumps to provide levels next to projection to not block audience sight line , hidden when not in use . Curved projection screen create intimate atmosphere counter the removed affect of proscenium arch staging .

Field scene 2 lighting

A

Yellow gels flood lighting reflect brightness of the field . Slight dimming of light before mark and Jan to show the seriousness of Their arrival and how they disrupt the peaceful nature of the field . Black out after ‘oh shit’ introduces the seriousness and portrays the darkness that is to flow . Low intensity Up lighting on mark and Jan to highlight their serious facial expressions and show they bring serious news but remain naturalistic . From birdies hidden in set.
