What is the WSPA?
Women’s Safety and Protection Act
Means that you can take a women’s word that she has a RO (restraining order) on someone
Meaning you can Arrest the suspect
However must have due diligence and verify with the county the RO is from (validity)
If it is not Valid, RELEASE FORTHWITH)
How many Hours will a Abuser be released if they have bail?
6 Hours
How long will you continue to serve a RO?
Continue to attempt until it is completed, in hand or unless specifically stated else wiseon the restraining order.
What is the definition of Abuse?
Abuse if one or more of the following Acts between Family and household members.
1. Intention to cause or causing physical harm
2. Placing one in fear of serious physical harm
3. Causing one to engage in involuntary sexual relations by force, threat or duress
