Doppler Flashcards
(3 cards)
1
Q
What differentiates Color Doppler from regular Doppler?
A
A color-flow “active” area and a gray-scale active area (smaller area of activity than in a regular ultrasound reading)
2
Q
What is Power Doppler?
A
signal processing that relies on the total strength of the Doppler signal (amplitude)
Advantage: improved sensitivity to motion, good for slow blood flow
Disadvantage: lacks quantitative info & direction of blood flow
3
Q
How does the wave change through Doppler imaging?
A
incident –> returning –> demodulator (incident - return) –>Doppler signal (FT)
