What are DPs?

Increases efficiency, reduce communication & departure delays
What is an ODP?
Obstacle departure procedure.
Maybe flown without ATC clearance.
Must have textual/graphical copy.
What is a SIDs?
Provides efficiency to move aircraft.
Must be received prior to flying SID.
What criteria used to provide obstruction clearance during departure?
At least 35 ft above departure end if runway.
400 ft before making initial turns.
Maintain minimum climb gradient of 200 ft per NM
Where are DPs located?
Listed by airport in IFR take off minimums and departure procedures - section C of TPP Terminal procedures
Must you accept a SID?
No. Requires pilot possession of textual or graphical.
If no SID, list with briefer.
How does pilots determine if take off minimums are not standard?

What is the recommended climb rate procedure when ATC request you to climb to a certain altitude?
Descend/climb at optimum rate.
Between 500 - 1500fps till altitude reaches.
