What are the most important rules applicable to statements of case?

A
  1. Numbered paragraphs
  2. Pages numbered consecutively
  3. All numbers and dates in figures e.g. The Property was purchased for £23,000 on 29 March 1975
  4. Reference in the margin to every document mentioned that has already been filed at court.
  5. Name of person who drafted the document; and
  6. Statement of truth.

A

It can ONLY be used as evidence in proceedings if verified by a statement of truth.
