This is the form of puppetry where the person controlling the puppet is visible alongside the puppet
what is a marionette puppet?
A marionette is a full-body puppet which is operated from overhead using strings attached to its individual body parts.
what is a gait?
The way that a person walks.
what is a neutral standing position?
Knees slightly bent but not locked, feet shoulder width apart, looking straight ahead, not a smile or sad face, hands by side.
what are some facial expressions?
Eyes opened wide, eyebrows raised, forehead crinkled, cheeks puffed out, mouth opened wide, teeth showing.
what are some gestures?
Twiddling fingers, thumbs up, fingers to lips, peace sign.
what is a tableau?
A freeze frame
precision?
A calculated, exaggerated action.
slow motion?
Performed at reduced pace.
isolation? And an example?
Carefully done one step at a time. EG: pick up cup, bring to lips, lean head back, drink.
an example of breath when using a puppet?
After running a race, the puppet would be puffing/ breathing heavily.
