Drug Distribution Flashcards

0
Q

Apparent volume of distribution, Vd

A
Q = amount of drug put in the body
C = plasma concentration

Vd = Q / C
Apparent volume into which the total drug Q was dissolved to reach the plasma concentration C
The higher the Vd the more the drug has distributed out of the plasma
