What is the dose and route of adrenaline in cardiac arrest? Give adult and paediatric doses.
Dose and route:
- Adult (1mg IV)
- Child (0.01mg IV/IO)
How often do you give adrenaline in cardiac arrest?
-Every 3-5mins (i.e. every other cycle)
What is the dose and route of adrenaline in anaphylaxis? Give adult and paeds (>12, 6-12, 6mo-6yrs and <6months) doses
Adult (0.5mg IM) Paeds: ->12yrs (0.5mg IM) -6-12yrs (0.3mg IM) -Birth-6yrs (0.15mg IM)

What is the dose and route of atropine in bradycardia?
0.5mg IV every 1-2mins
What is the dose and route of aspirin in in ACS or stroke?
ACS: PO 300mg loading and then 75mg OD
Stroke: PO 300mg for 2 weeks and then 75mg OD
What is the dose and route of clopidogrel in ACS?
ACS: PO 300mg loading and then 75mg OD
What is the dose and route of calcium gluconate in hyperkalaemia?
10ml of 10% calcium gluconate through slow IV injection
What is the dose and route of insulin/dextrose infusion in hyperkalaemia, DKA and HONK?
DKA and HONK:
50U Actrapid in 50ml 0.9 saline-1U/ml +potassium (prevent hypo)
Hyperkalaemia:
10U Actrapid added to 20% glucose (prevent hypo) in 100ml over 15mins
Give the route and dose of glucose and glucagon, as treatments for hypoglycaemia.
Glucose-20-30g IV (e.g. 200-300ml of 10%dextrose) 10%=10g/100ml
Glucagon-1mg IV/IM
Give the route and doses used for lorazepam and diazepam in status epilepticus.
Lorazepam-IV 2-4mg
Diazepam-infusion with glucose-100mg in 500ml of 5% dextrose
What is the dose and route of salbutamol given in acute severe asthma?
5mg nebulised with oxygen
What is the dose and route of morphine given in acute coronary syndrome?
-5-10mg IV (repeat after 5mins if necessary)
What is the dose and route of naloxone given in opioid overdose?
-0.2-4mg IV
