Imatinib

For t(9;22) in CML and B-ALL --> creates Bcr-Abl fusion gene which makes protein w/ ty kinase ax

Matures the cells and corrects the coagulation
t(15;17) in APL subtype of AML
–> PML-RARalpha fusion gene = arrest at promyelocyte stage, medical emergency due to DIC

Bispecific T cell Ab that directs cytotoxic T cells to CD19 expressing B cells
For ALL
Cladribine
Adenosine deaminase inhib = adenosine accum to toxic levels in neoplastic b cells
For Hairy Cell leukemia

Anti CD20 mAb (mouse is the variable region)
Mechs: Complement dependent cytotoxicity; Antibody Dependent Cell cytotoxicity; Apoptosis
For Follicular Lymphoma
EPO
-for CKD, chemo induced anemia
SE: HTN, headache, venous thrombosis, pure red cell aplasia (rare)
TPO receptor agonists
Eltrombopag (oral), Romiplostim (subQ)
tx thrombocytopenia
SE: headache, venous thrombosis, myelofibrosis
Filgrastim
recombinant G-CSF
prevents inf in pts w/ chemo induced neutropenia
SE: fever, bone pain in pelvis/hip, pumonary edema (rare)
Desmopressin
Synthetic analogue of vasopressin (ADH analogue)
Increases vWF release from Wiebel-Palade bodies of endothelial cells
Tx for von wilebrand disease
