Pts with alcohol misuse and dependence?
A
- Persistent alcohol misuse/dependence
- Confirmed by medical enquiry and/or evidence of otherwise unexplained abnormal blood markers
Licence revocation or refusal until minimum*** period of controlled drinking or abstinence has been attained, with normalisation of blood parameters
- Minimum 6 months for misuse
- Minimum 1 year for dependency

Cannabis, amphetamines, ecstasy, LSD
A
- Persistent use or dependency
- Confirmed by medical enquiry
- Licence refusal or revocation until minimum 6 months free of use has been attained
- May need independent medical assessment and urine screen arranged by DVLA

Heroin, cocaine, methadone
A
- Persistent use or dependency
- Confirmed by medical enquiry
- Licence refusal or revocation until minimum 1 year free of use has been attained
- May need independent medical assessment and urine screen arranged by DVLA
- May need consultant report one reapplication
