Q

Why is there a 30 minute TD for the MSL temp isolation for RCIC? -

A

Allows main steam line and RWCU to isolate prior to isolate RCIC prolongs the availability of reic as a make Up source to the vessel and prevents unnecessary isolation of RCIC if the leak is from MSL OR RWCU
