A Seismograph.

What earthquake causes tsunamis?
A
A subduction earthquake

What is the cause of movement in the tectonic plates?
A
Convection Currents. These currents occur in the mantle. Magma moves closer to the crust where it cools, and eventually comes back down to the outer core where it heats up.
