All the conditions surrounding a living thing
Species
The lowest level of classification
Adaptation
A change in an organism to better fit an ecosystem
Habitat
The place in an ecosystem in which an organism lives
Biome
A large Naturally occurring community
Desert
The desert covers about one fifth of earth. Antarctica is the largest desert on earth. Deserts. Are both hot and cold with very little rainfall.
Deciduous forest
Deciduous forest can be found in eastern United States, Canada, Europe, China, Japan, and Russia. They have four seasons. The average temperature is 50 degrees. The trees lose their leaves before winter. The animals must be able to survive the changing seasons.
Taiga
Taiga is the largest land biome on earth. This region typically has long cold winters and short mild wet summers
Tundra
Is a cold desert with lots of ice and snow
Tropical rainforests
Tropical rainforest are located near the equator and are very wet and warm year around
Grassland
The weather varies greatly it is cold in the wi term and hot in the summer the most important plant is grass
Producer
Something that uses the sun to produce food.
Consumer
Something who eats what producer produced.
Decomposer
Something that breaks down bones so it can get reproduced.
Herbivore
Something that eats only plants.
Carnivore
Something that eats only meat .
Omnivore
Something that eats both plants and meat
Food chain
When something is produced or consumed and done again.
