Rosenthal and Jacobson demonstrated that teachers who label their students based on assumption often leads to the students internalizing these ideas and they become true, known as the self fulfilling prophecy. In a state primary school in California, they gave teachers false information about the IQ scores of students and soon the teachers treating the students in accordance with the numbers led to the numbers becoming true
