Q

What is the elbow flexion test?

Q

What is pressure provocation test?

A

PT places finger over pts ulnar nerve with elbow in 20 degrees of flexion and forearm supination test hold for 60 seconds

Q

What is lateral epicondylagia?

A

aka tennis elbow pain associated with pain of the common wrist extensors at lateral epicondyle

Extensor carpi radialis brevis most common

17
Q

What is Cozen’s test?

A

pt is sitting or supine, starts in slight pronation and slight elbow flexion, pt then pronates, extends wrist and radially deviates against resistance of PT

18
Q

What is positive result of Cozen’s?

A

pain with resistance at lateral epicondylitis

19
Q

What is Mill’s test?

A

stretching muscle at lateral epicondyle by passively pronating the forerarm extending elbow, extending elbow and fully flexing the wrist, slight shoulder extension

positive if pain at lateral epicondyle

20
Q

What is Maudsley test?

A

patient is seated and PT palplates lateral epicondyle while applying resistance to middle finger extension

pos test if pain repoduce and could indicate inflammation of extensor digitorum communis

21
Q

What is golfers elbow?

A

pain or tenderness at medial epicondyle

22
Q

What is position 1 for golfer elbows testing?

A

seated with elbow in slight flexion and forearm supinated

PT applies pressure of wrist extension

23
Q

What is position 2 for golfers elbow?

A

seated with forearm fully supinated

pt passively puts patient into full wrist and elbow extension

24
Q

What position if the medial UCL ligament taught?

A

anterior band- 20-120 degrees of flexion

posterior band- flexion beyond 55 degrees

25
Q

What is the valgus test of UCL?

A

for anterior band

pt supine, PT stabilizes distal humerus, elbow flexed between 20-30 degrees and valgus stress applied

26
Q

What is the Milking manuver?

A

for posterior band

pt seated and the arm is in shoulder flexion, ADD and ER and elbow flexion 70-80 degrees and forearm supination and PT pulls down on thumb to recreate a valgus stress

27
Q

What is a moving valgus stress test?

A

pt in sitting and PT stands behind pt

pts arm put into 90 degrees ABD and 120 elbow flexion, PT applies a modest valgus force until into full ER

while applying valgus force the elbow is quickly extended to 30 degrees

28
Q

What is a positive moving valgus stress?

A

if pain with test for chronic MCL tear in range of 120 to 70 degrees

29
Q

What is the lateral (radial) collateral ligament or varus test?

A

pt sitting with elbow flexed 5-30 degrees before full extension, PT stabilizes the humerus and adducts ulna
