Electro Code 4 Flashcards
(19 cards)
What are AUX INPUT terminals engineered to do?
Monitor for potentially dangerous track conditions.
What are the two modules that work together as the brains of the EC4?
210A and 210B.
What should the voltage level be when checking the B12 and N12 terminals and auxiliary inputs?
The voltage level should be between 10 and 16 vdc.
What do both the ECH and the EC4 send?
Polarized code pulses.
What is the configuration used for approach lighting with AC power off?
An AC power adapter or no strapping at all.
What effect will a burned-out green lamp in a signal at an EC4 location have?
The signal will display a yellow aspect.
What is the current received from the track by the 7K (Receiver) module?
Should be between 1.1 and 1.3 amps or 1100 & 1300 milliamps.
What is the most accurate meter to use when measuring track circuit current?
Harmon TS-1019.
What does a dark WP LED indicate?
The switch is not normal.
Which code is used to convey extra information but cannot clear a signal?
Code 5.
Which code is used to indicate track circuit integrity?
Code 1.
What does a flashing LED on the 210A module indicate?
Trouble in the EC4 cabinet.
What test must be made after setting up or readjusting an EC4 track circuit?
.06 ohm shunt test on the track circuit.
What is the main difference between the EC4 and the ECH cabinets?
ECH cabinets control relays, EC4 cabinets light signals directly.
Where are the transmit standoffs located?
On the 2R module.
What does a flashing LED on the 2R module indicate?
A code being transmitted.
What does a flashing LED on the 7R module indicate?
A code being received.
What do the GRS System vital relays do?
Operate in the proper sequence to provide electric locking.
Which relay is used to request a left signal?
LGZR.
