What is the treatment for hypernatremia?(3)
- Normal saline
- tx underlying disease
- replace water deficinecy
What is the level for hyponatremia?

What is the cause of hyponatremia?
SIADH
What are the clinical signs of hyponatremia?(5)
- HA
- vomiting
- seizures
- ams
- cerebral edema
What is the treatment for hyponatremia?
- treat underlying cause
- fluid restriction
- do not increase more than 6-8 in 24 hrs
- oral salt
What is the level for hypokalemia?
< 3.5
What are the causes of hypokalemia?
- GI losses
- Beta 2 agonists
- Diuretics
What are the signs and symptoms of hypokalemia?(5)
- EKG- ST depression
- muscle cramps
- weakness
- fatigue
- constipation

Cramping, hypotension, arrythmia, malasia, polyuria, shallow resp

- oral potassium
