What does ‘Timmy’ stand for?
Tempo- the speed of the music e.g adagio (slow), moderato (medium speed), allegro (fast), vivace (fast and lively)
What does ‘the’ stand for?
Texture- how the tempo, melody and harmony are combined in a musical composition e.g thin/light (few instruments playing) or thick/heavy (many instruments playing)
What does ‘seriously’ stand for
Style- A musical style signifies a distinctive type, form, and/or quality of music. It can also refer to the period of history during which it was created, or to a specific composer or performer e.g classical period or Mozart.
What does ‘mad’ stand for?
Melody- a melody is made up of a mixture of high and low pitch sounds played one after the other, the melody is the tune.
What does ‘rabbit’ stand for?
Rhythm- a pattern of sounds of different lengths.
What does ‘is’ stand for?
Instrumentation- the particular combination of musical instruments employed in a composition, and the properties of those instruments individually.
What does ‘dancing’ stand for?
Dynamics- refer to the variations in loudness between notes or phrases, indicating how soft or loud a piece should be played which helps to convey emotion from a piece. E.g p (soft), mp (moderately soft), f (loud), ff (very loud)
What does ‘the’ stand for?
Time signature- indicates how many beats are in each measure and which note value is counted as one beat. E.g 4/4 is 4 crotchet beats per bar, 6/8 is 6 quaver beats in one bar etc
What does ‘tango’ stand for?
Timbre- used to describe the particular sound quality of a musical instrument e.g brassy, piercing, breathy etc
What does ‘terribly’ stand for?
Tonality- refers to the organization of pitches and chords around a central note called the tonic, which provides a sense of stability and direction in a piece.
