When and why is progesterone given in HRT
Evorel 50 patch contains estradiol, a form of oestrogen, used in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for menopausal symptoms.

To protect the endometrium, progesterone is added — in this case, as Utrogestan (micronised progesterone).
