A hormone is a chemical messenger secreted via glands which travels through bloodstream to causes changes in our body or behaviour.
Pituitary gland and is divided into anterior and posterior.

Hypothalamus- is connected to the pituitary gland and releases a hormone which is responsible for the pituitary gland to secrete a certain hormone
Pituitary gland- master gland - ATCH released from anterior land which stimulates the adrenal cortex and releases cortisol
The posterior- releases oxytocin which is responsible for uterus contractions during childbirth
