-water pollution from domestic sources, up to 10% of houses in Enfield have waste water pipes that feed directly into rivers

Positives of the project

A

-Flood risk reduced- High rainfall in December 2013 and January 2014 did not cause significant flooding
-reduced ammonia levels in salmon brooks by 67%
-reduced nitrogen levels by 43%
-population of eels and species of insects such as dragonflies increased.
