Thermocouple depends on the rate of temperature rise, and it will not give warning if engine slowly overheat or as short circuits develop

Depending on the size of the fire zone and total circuit resistant
Where does the thermocouple fire detector system get its electrical power to operate?
thermocouple produces power to close a relay, and the power from the aircraft electrical system flow through the rely relay to a warning light
Describe a thermal switch fire detector system
Have one or more lights that are energized by aircraft electrical system when a heat sensitive thermal switch closes to circuit at a specific temperature
How are thermal switch electrically connected to the circuit
Connected in parallel to each other but in series with the warning light. Temperature rise in any one of those section will cause a thermal switch to close which completes the circuit to indicate a fire all over heat condition
What is the most common cause of a false fire morning in a continuous loop detector system?
a dent,kinks or crush in the sensing element
