Engines And APU Flashcards

1
Q

When are secondary engine indications displayed?

A

Displays initially receive PWR
In FLT when eng start lever is moved to cutoff

In FLT when N2 RPM is Below idle

11
Q

What does GRD do?

A

It uses BAT PWR to close ENG bleed air valve and open the start valve.

On GND arms selected igniter
In FLT arms both igniters

16
Q

What happens to reverser light on aft OVHD panel?

A

After reverser is Commanded to stow, It illuminates untill isolation valve closes. (Takes normally 10 seconds) If It is illuminated for 12 secs master caution light illuminates

17
Q

What happens in case of incomplete stowage of thrust rev?

A

Auto-restow circuit stows reversers

18
Q

What elec PWR does the APU need to start?

A

AC TRX BUS 1 or main BAT

19
Q

What is normal EGT for APU start

A

1100 degrees

20
Q

When does APU shutdown occur?

A

60 sec’s After APU switch off

21
Q

What is amber N1?

A

N1 value for full rated thrust

22
Q

What does amber rev light indicate

A

Reverser moved from stowed Pos

23
Q

When is oil filter Bypass alert blinking inhibited?

A

80 knots to 400ft RA
200FT RA to 30 sec’s After ldg

24
Q

What is meant by amber on secondary eng indications?

A

Caution range

25
Q

When is low oil press amber band shown?

A

Above 65% N2

26
Q

In what unit is oil quant shown

A

Quarts

27
Q

What does engine control light indicate and when is It working?

A

Engine control sys not dispatchable

Eng operating and
A/c on GND with less than 80kts on t/o and 30secs after touchdown

28
Q

When is ENG run up required?

A

OAT 3 degrees or below and ENG anti-ice required

29
Q

What does start valve open light indicate

A

Start valve is open and air is being supplied to starter

If it is blinking, there is a uncommanded opening of start valve

30
Q

What does reverser light on ovhd indicate

A

Isolation valve or thrust reverser control valve not in commanded position

One or more thrust rev sleeves not in commanded state

Auto restow circuit activated

Failure detected in synch shaft lock circuitry

31
Q

When does a/c set APP idle

A

Cowl anti ice on for either engine

ALT below 19000ft and left or right main gear down and locked

ALT below 19000ft and left or right flaps 15

If no flap or gear Signals -> 19000ft
