Define what’s public speaking?
The act of speaking in front of a group of people in a public setting.
Public speaking may be delivered in four ways:
Delivering a memorized speech, reading a manuscript, presenting ideas from a written outline, speaking impromptu on a topic
As a public speaker what is your primary goal?
The goal is to convey your message to your audience as clearly and as effectively as possible.
How you’ll keep your audience foremost in your mind so that at the end of your speech, they will walk away with a sense of having learned something useful and meaningful from your speech?
Make sure you know your audience and support your message with material that is appropriate, relevant, and compelling to them.
How does your audience find themselves in your speech?
Relatability is important, keep your audience interested.
What do you call the act or even the idea of speaking in front of an audience can be terrifying? They experience a fast heartbeat, butterflies in the stomach, a dry mouth, weak knees, sweaty palms, etc.

It is more formally called Narrative, It usually moves from one situation to the next to overcome a conflict or a problem. It traces the parts of the story from beginning to end.

The portion of the story introduces important background info to the audience. (info abt the setting, event occurring before the main plot, character’s back stories). It is the introduction of the story.

It begins immediately after the exposition (introduction) of the story and builds up to the climax. A series of related incidents that build towrd the point of greatest interest

The part of the story in which the main conflict is resolved.
The ending of the story in which the author answers all remaining questions, reveals how the characters feel about what took place, and sometimes suggests what s in store for the characters.
