Words that name people, places and objects. (humam)
Verb
Words that describe actions. (running)
Adjective
Words that describe nouns (e.g. size, shape, colour). ( blue …)
Adverb
Words that describe verbs – how an action is completed. (he ran ast and jumped hight)
Subject (of a sentence)
The person or thing that completed the action (verb) of a sentence.(bhe was walking to school)
Object (of a sentence)
The person or thing that is affected by the verb. (he allways ran)
Fact
A statement that can be proven with evidence.(i play fornite)
Rhetorical question
A question that is asked to emphasise a point to the reader, rather than get an answer ( our you ugly)
Opinion
A point of view about something which is not necessarily based on fact..(i play call of duty)
Repetition
When a writer repeats words, phrases or ideas within a text. (please please plase can i play games?)
Anecdote
A story told from the writer’s own experience, used to make a point to the reader or prove their argument. (in the mach i was there and scorded the only goal
Emotive language
how the writter whats you to feel for someone (he won the world cup)
Hyperbole
Exaggeration to emphasise an idea. (the where massive people in my school)
Explicit information
Information that is directly stated in a text.(he gave the boy a detion for being bad)
Implicit information
Information that is indirectly stated (suggested) in a text and needs to be worked out by the reader.( he like the girl run)
Inference
‘Reading between the lines’ to work out implicit information.(its hard to run)
