How many different noun types are they and what re they called?
There are four different noun types and they are called Abstract Proper Collective Concrete/common
Explain what a concrete/common noun is.
A concrete/common noun is something that you can see or touch - for example, a computer, a desk, a pen etc.
Explain what an abstract noun is.
An abstract noun is an idea or emotion; something that cannot be seen or touched - for example, happiness, jealousy, love etc.
Explain what a proper noun is.
A proper noun is the name of a person, place or thing. It usually begins with a capital letter - for example, Sarah, China, Christmas etc.
Explain what a collective noun is.
A collective noun is a noun that describes a group of thins or people - fir example, flock (as in a flock of sheep), swarm (as in a swarm of bees) etc.
