Lacking
To not have / to not have enough of something
Ex: If your body is lacking water you will start to feel thirsty
Desire
When you really wish for something to happen
Ex: Stebens has a desire to win everyday but that will be impossible
Integrate
To mix or to combine two or more things together
Ex: It’s very important to integrate all of the correct ingredients when you are cooking something
Stuffed
To feel full after eating something
Ex: Stebens felt stuffed after he ate all of the food that he didn’t want to share
Plentiful
To have a lot of something available
Ex: She was very impressed with the new house because the space was plentiful
Cuss
To say bad words.. or you can say the word “Profanity” or “swearing”
Ex: It’s best cuss at your parents or you are going to be in a lot of trouble
Synonym
When two words or expressions mean the same thing
Ex: A synonym for the word “big” would be the word “huge.”
Hypocrite
Someone who says they have certain beliefs but then behaves in a way that goes against their beliefs
Ex: If someone says that they are kind to people all the time but then later on in the day they’re yelling and cussing someone on the street that person would be considered a hypocrite
Loathe
To really hate something
Ex: I loathe when people are rude
Swift
To move very quickly
Ex: The storm was pretty swift because after 10 minutes of rain the storm stopped
Establish
It means to set up or start something
Ex: It is better to do a lot of research on business management before you establish your business
Delightful
Definition 1: When you are talking about how delicious the food is in a positive way
Definition 2: When someone is a great person to hang around
Ex: “oh wow! The dish that you prepared today was delightful
Ex: She is a very delightful person to be around
Summarize
To tell a shorter version of the story just so the person could have a good idea of what you’re talking about
Ex: Since my friend was in a hurry to go somewhere she had to summarize the crazy story that she experienced earlier
Exclaimed
To yell with excitement
Ex: When she won the game she exclaimed, “I won!”
Meddle
To show interest in something that has nothing to do with you. When someone meddles you would also hear the phrase, “mind your business”/ “that’s none of your business”
Ex: When the two people were arguing the person that was listening to them the whole time ended up stepping in to meddle and make things worse
Deflated
When something loses air (the word “inflated” would mean the opposite)
Ex: When the car tires started to deflate I had to put more air in the tired
Rambunctious
Acting crazy, wild, or full of energy
Ex: She had to pay close attention to the rambunctious children running around in the kitchen just in case someone break something
Deceive
A person who gets someone to believe something that is not true in order for them to receive something good out of the situation
Ex: People on the internet that like to steal people’s information (“hackers”) might deceive someone by sending a fake email about you winning a free vacation but once you click the link they were able to steal your bank information
Bland
Definition 1: To be uninteresting or boring
Ex: The math class was so bland today so I started to fall asleep
Definition 2: (If you’re talking about food) It means “tasteless” or something that doesn’t have any flavor
Ex: The food at the restaurant was so bland I ended up add a lot of salt
Defective
When something doesn’t work quite right because it is damaged in some way.
Ex: I had to take the car to get repaired/fixed because one of the parts was defective and wasn’t running properly
Raggedy
Messy, torn, or looking a little dirty.
Ex: He had to get a new bike because his old one was starting to look raggedy after using it so much for the past few years
Moving
Not only it means to “move” but this word could also be used when someone is feeling a lot of emotion (example: sadness, anger…)
Ex: After watching to movie she started to cry a little bit because the ending was so beautiful and moving especially when the couple got married at the end
Strive
It means when someone is trying hard to achieve something
Ex: During my online classes I always strive to get the best grades possible
Envious
To be jealous of someone
Ex: Stebens was very envious of the amount of wins that Kaela has (which is too much to count 🤭) so he decided that he doesn’t want to play the game anymore.
