EOP expectations
Placing controllers in manual
- Do not place systems in manual unless mis-operation in automatic is apparent. Systems placed in manual must be checked frequently to ensure proper operation. This does not apply to systems which are normally placed in manual due to post-trip operating parameters or which are placed in Local-Automatic versus Remote-Automatic. For example, performing a cooldown with SBCS in Local-Automatic or manual is easier and smoother than performing a cooldown using ADVs.
LOCA
Harsh containment criteria
170 F
Or
10E8 mrem/ hour
The preferred instrumentation for determining harsh containment conditions due to high radiation levels is RU-148 and RU-149 for containment radiation levels.
LOCA
Into NC - potential RU monitors
- RU-2 or RU-3 may be substituted for RU-6 when EW is cross-connected to NC.
