A
  1. Pax is unable to request medication
  2. There is no medical practitioner on board
  3. PAC is over 30kgs in weight unless directed by a medical professional

A

Yellow pouch of the physicians kit in the overhead lockers or 4R

Explain and demonstrate the use of the epipen

A
  1. Carefully tilt and slide the epipen out of its protective covering
  2. Check contents through the viewing window and end user the solution is clear/ colourless
  3. Hold the epipen in your fist
  4. Caution do not hold the orange End
  5. Place orange to the thigh. Blue to the sky- remove the blue safety cap
  6. Push orange end firmly into the middle thigh until a click is heard
  7. Hold firmly for 3 secs
  8. Once administered check the viewing window is obscured- epi has worked
