EPs Flashcards
(34 cards)
For every abnormal/emergency condition
Control the aircraft
Land Immediately
Land without delay. Pilots are to bear in mind that consequences of continued flight are likely to be more hazardous than, for example, ditching (even in adverse conditions) or landing in trees.
Land as Soon as Possible
Land at the nearest suitable site where a safe landing can be made.
Land as Soon as Practicable
Means extended flight is not recommended. The landing site and duration of flight is at the discretion of the pilot.
A/R As Required
A determination made by pilots if the situation justifies this action
Over Water Flight
Emergencies over water, “LAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE” is at the discretion of the PIC based on the situation
