Q

What is eutrophication

A

Eutrophication is when there is an excess level of nutrients present in a water source leading to algae blooms, these algae blooms take the oxygen in the water and block sunlight, meaning plants die and animals die. The increase in nutrients from decomposing dead animals leads to more algae blooms and the cycle continues.
